ERC20 ICX tokens, distributed after ICON’s token sale that ended on Sept. 20, 2017, allowed holders to trade ICX in exchanges prior to ICON’s mainnet launch.

After the ICON token sale ended on 20 September 2017, the ICON Team distributed the ERC20 ICX tokens, so that owners could trade ICX at crypto exchange before the mainnet launch. The token swap involves exchanging ERC20 ICX tokens to ICX coins at a 1:1 exchange rate. Once the swap is made, you cannot change ICX coins back to ERC20 ICX tokens. First thing is when I load my MEW wallet in to the icon wallet, it only shows what ETH i have, it does not show the ICX ERC20 tokens. However they do show in the MEW browser interface.
